Research
The School of Natural Sciences is home to the University Centre for Ecosystem Management and the Centre for Marine Ecosystems Research, two of the University's most productive research centres with a focus on Australia's natural systems. Our staff research interests are broad, covering both the pure and applied biological and environmental areas, and a large postgraduate program provides for a dynamic and interesting research environment.
Research within the School of Natural Sciences spans many fields:
- Marine, estuarine, wetland and freshwater ecology;
- Ecological genetics of plants and animals;
- Macroalgae and seagrass ecology;
- Terrestrial ecology;
